Over the past year, several people have shot to fame or notoriety thanks (or no thanks) to the Internet. They have gained recognition from Internet users for a variety of reasons, from work they have done and suffering they have endured to things they have said, from the outrageous to the downright arrogant. The following is a list of 5 Internet figures in 2010. No.1 Li Gang and Li Qiming第一位:李刚和李启铭The father and son quickly became famous both in China and overseas when the son, Li Qiming, yelled, "Sue me if you dare. My father is Li Gang," after running over two university students, one of whom later died, on October 16 in Hebei University.10月16日,李启铭在河北大学开车撞倒两名女大学生之后,高喊:“有本事你们告去,我爸是李刚!” Internet users were outraged, and showed it by coining a new satirical phrase: "My father is Li Gang." /201011/119538Find a lover.

Taking regular lunchtime siestas could increase the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, according to research. The study of 16,480 people, found those who napped were 26% more likely to get the condition than those who did not. Several factors which may be behind the link included disrupted night-time sleep and an association between napping and reduced physical activity. But a conference in Glasgow will hear that factors like genetics and being overweight are more significant. The researchers will tell delegates at the Diabetes UK event that napping during the day may disrupt night-time sleep. This could have an impact as short night-time sleep duration has been shown to be associated with an increased Type 2 diabetes risk. Waking up from napping also activates hormones and mechanisms in the body that stop insulin working effectively, the researchers said, and this could predispose people to Type 2 diabetes-- which can develop when the insulin the body makes does not work properly. Dr Iain Frame, director of research at Diabetes UK, said: "We aly know that people who are overweight or obese, and therefore more at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, can have problems sleeping. "This new research could be another step towards explaining the possible link between disturbed sleep patterns and Type 2 diabetes." "However, in terms of being major risk factors for developing Type 2 diabetes, disturbed sleep or napping are likely to remain less significant than aly established risk factors such as being overweight, being over the age of 40 or having a history of diabetes in the family." Diabetes is a serious condition that can lead to long-term complications such as heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure and amputation. The research, conducted by scientists from the University of Birmingham and from Guangzhou Hospital in China, will be presented at Diabetes UK's annual conference. /200904/66407

It has often been said that opposites attract but research suggests that initial spark of attraction soon fades and does not make for a long and happy married life.A survey carried out by The Oxford Internet Institute, looked at the habits of 1,000 couples to find the secret of a happy relationship. The poll was conducted for online matchmaking service eHarmony.People who want to sign up for the site, complete a comprehensive questionnaire of more than 200 questions, which takes about an hour to complete."At the time that we launched in 2000, people were really sceptical that you could bring technology or scientific research to something that had always been attributed in these magical terms to some unknowable quality about why two people connect," Greg Waldorf, eHarmony's chief executive said.eHarmony to claim that every day on average 118 US couples who met on eHarmony get married--2% of the total number of marriages.Paula Hall, a relationship psychotherapist at the UK relationship service says: "Compatibility is an essential ingredient in relationship happiness, but some differences are inevitable. How couples manage those differences is the key to long-term success."But there is not one formula for all couples. Analysis of the data gathered by eHarmony shows that across cultures couples value very different things. For instance, Britons are the least likely to complain if modern life leaves their partners too tired for sex. Australians are less worried by their spouse being less affectionate and Americans argue more.Happily married people in the UK tend to agree more on how to make major decisions, how family finances are handled, the division of household tasks, and how to deal with parents and in-laws. Compared to the US and Australia, UK couples are the least likely to be worried if their partner is regularly too tired for sex.In the US, couples put more focus on the interpersonal facets of their relationships, reporting that they laugh together, exchange ideas, kiss, and confide in each other more often. However, they also have more arguments and are more likely to report that their partners annoy them.In Australia, couples put a lot of stock in working on projects together, and it is the country where couples are least likely to be concerned that their spouse doesn't show enough love and affection.Couples in the US, the UK and Australia experience a dip in marital satisfaction around the birth of their first child, which Mr Waldorf attributes to a period of adjustment to the change in the relationship. Chinese couples, by contrast, actually experience a rise in satisfaction, which Mr Waldorf suggests is due to a stronger immediate family support network. /200812/59291A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. Fashion passes, style remains. The best colour in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you! Look for the woman in the dress. Then I thought the perfect car would be a solar car."His car, which has become a major attraction at the gates of the summit of some 188 nations, was built in three years with scientific help from four universities and 15 Swiss companies. The car pulls a trailer with six squares metres of solar panels which soak up the sun. The electricity is fed into the battery which powers the car, and can run for up to 100 kilometres a day."It's the first time in history that a car is driving around the world without a single drop of petrol," boasted Palmer, a teacher by training. His epic solar journey is not his first adventure -- he traversed Africa on a bicycle and North America in a light aircraft. So far, Palmer has gone by land through Europe and the Middle East, then by sea to India and on to Indonesia. After traversing much of Asia, Australia, North America and Africa, he will return to Switzerland to try and drum up support for the commercial possibilities of solar cars. For the moment, he has his hands full, with more curious customers waiting to take a ride in his unique automobile which, he said, "works like a Swiss clock." /200803/29703

If you really want to have success with women then you need to learn the right way to attract a woman. What I mean by this is that you have to avoid doing what 99% of all men do. When most men approach a woman they usually don't have any confidence, they don't sustain any meaningful eye contact, and they lack the necessary social skills to generate attraction from an initial conversation. The good news is that talking to a woman the right way is a learned skill. And just like ing a book or riding a snowboard anyone can learn how to talk to a woman the right way. There are three basic types of conversation that you can have with a woman. The first type, is known as an informational conversation. This is when you are talking to a woman and you are simply giving her information about a topic in a very blasé or scientific way. Talking about your next job assignment is a good example of this. Obviously, this does not generate attraction. This could be the reason why many scientists have trouble getting a date. The second type of conversation is known as a one-way conversation. This can be either a man talking mostly about himself and not allowing a woman to get in a word in edgewise or this could mean that the man does not know how to engage or challenge a woman so that she will want to engage him back. The third kind of conversation is known as a two-way conversation and this has a higher likelihood of generating attraction in a woman because she is now fully engaged with you. But having a two-way conversation is not enough to get a woman attracted to you. You must also be in total alignment with who you are as a confident male. Women are not attracted to men who don't know what they want in life. Women are also not attracted to men that don't have a spine. If you always cave into her demands, then she will actually get bored of you .You will notice that in your many interactions with different kinds of women that they are going to challenge you. This is their way of testing you to see if you are who you say you are. So while you are trying to have a conversation with her she might start to become interested in you. One thing that I've learned over the years is that women love to test men. So they will do things that might seem a little strange. Out of the blue she might ask you to buy her a drink. She might also excuse herself to the bathroom and then on the way there she will stop and talk to a guy that she knows. And she's not doing this to be mean, she is simply going to see if you will get jealous. An insecure man gets jealous and a man who is not insecure won't. So watch out for these tests because they happen all the time. Some things to keep in mind when you are talking to a woman.1. Maintain eye contact longer than normal.2. Make sure you have confident body language.3. Ask her open-ended questions and then let her run with it.4. Don't talk too much about yourself and never brag about your job, your money, or your car because these things only communicate insecurity.5. Make sure you're well-groomed. This will communicate that you care about your appearance and that you have self-respect.6. Ask for her contact information when your conversation is at it's conclusion.7. Do not hang around too long unless you plan on getting her alone so you can really build up the rapport. Otherwise change locations or get her contact information and then leave.By following these guidelines you are going to be much better off than the competition. So the next time you go online or you are at a coffee shop or you are in a bookstore make sure you keep the these guidelines and mind and your chances of success will skyrocket. /200904/67809this is how u know u like/love some1.SEVENTEEN: You look at their profile constantly.SIXTEEN:When you're on the phone with them late at night and they hang up, you still miss them even when it was just two minutes ago.FIFTEEN:You their Texts and Ims Over and over again.FOURTEEN:You walk really slow when you're with them.THIRTEEN:You feel shy whenever they're around.TWELVE:you get so jealous when someone comment them saying they are cute(or sexy)ELEVEN:When you think about them, your heart beats faster but slower at the same time.TEN:You smile when you hear their voice.NINE:When you look at them, you can't see the other people around you, you just see him/her.EIGHT:You start listening to slow songs while thinking about them.SEVEN:They're all you think about.SIX:You get high just from their scent.FIVE:You realize you're always smiling when you're looking at them.FOUR:You would do anything for them, just to see them.THREE:While ing this, there was one person on your mind this whole time.TWO:You were so busy thinking about that person, you didnt notice number twelve was missingONE:You just scrolled up to check amp; are now silently laughing at yourself.what do you think ?!!:P Hey you! Dozing at your desk! Wake up, go home and get more sleep! That could be the message from a survey released Monday by the National Sleep Foundation. The survey of 1,000 people found participants average six hours and 40 minutes of sleep a night on weeknights, even though they estimated they'd need roughly another 40 minutes of sleep to be at their best.Roughly one-third of those surveyed said they had fallen asleep or become very sleepy at work in the past month.Just how big a deal that is depends, of course, on your job. Last week, the chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission acknowledged it should have done more to investigate a tip that security guards routinely took naps while on the job at a Pennsylvania nuclear plant. It wasn't until a tape of guards sleeping in a "y room" at the Peach Bottom plant in south-central Pennsylvania surfaced several months after it got the tip that the NRC announced in September a special investigation. While sleepy workers know they're not performing as well as they could during the day, work is what's keeping them up nights, according to the survey, which found workdays are getting longer and time spent working from home averages close to four-and-a-half hours each week.It seems people are also trying to squeeze in more time for themselves and their families, even if it means less sleep. The average wake up is at 5:35 a.m. and it's followed by about two hours and 15 minutes at home before heading out to work, according to the survey. Average bedtime is 10:53. /200803/30960

If you haven’t contemplated murder, you ain’t been in love. If you haven’t seriously thought about killing the motherfucker, you ain’t been in love. If you haven’t had a can of rat poison in your hand and looked at it for 45 minutes straight, you ain’t been in love. If you haven’t bought a shovel and a bag and a rug to roll they ass up in, you ain’t been in love. If you haven’t practiced your alibi in front of the mirror… you ain’t been in love. And the only thing that stopped you from killing this motherfucker was an episode of CSI. See, relationships are hard. But in order for any relationship to work, both people have to be on the same page. Both people have to have the same focus…and the focus is all about her,is all about her! Fellas, when you wake up in the morning, you should look yourself in the mirror and say,” Fuck you. Fuck your hopes, fuck your dreams, fuck your plans, fuck everything you thought this life was gonna bring you. Now let’s go out there and try and make this bitch happy.” It’s all about her, fellas. Say yes to everything. Everything. Everything you can afford, say yes to. Just say yes. Before she even gets it out of her fucking mouth. “Honey, can…” Yes. “Honey, I…” Yes. Just get a stamp. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. /201104/132393Have you, like me, drooled over French model Noemi Lenoir's perfect body on all those Mamp;S billboards? She is always the one chosen to wear the bikinis and lingerie: women envy and emulate her because she has curves, beautiful pale green eyes and that halo of corkscrew hair。 Men lust after her because she looks like a sexy woman, not an emaciated child。 /201005/104180Horseshoes One of the most familiar things that are supposed to be lucky is a horseshoe. There are some people even today who believe that finding a cast-of horseshoe brings good luck, and if they hang a horseshoe over a door, witches cannot enter. Some people say the horseshoe is considered to be lucky because it looks like a new moon. There have been many peoples who considered the new moon extremely lucky. The Irish say that the horse was in the stable where Christ was born, and therefore the horseshoe was given magical power. Other people say the horseshoe is made of iron, and iron has always been regarded as a protection against evil spirits. Besides, the horseshoe is made by the blacksmith, and blacksmith, like a wizard, used it as a charm in performing his “white magic”. Pliny says that there is no more excellent protection against illness than the castoff horseshoe found in the road. Nelson had a horseshoe nailed to the mast of the Victory. /200906/74554
